Take the economic initiative

A complementary local economic fabric

With over 4,000 companies and 44,000 jobs, the Chartres urban area is the main economic hub of the Eure-et-Loir.

Two industries are flourishing here:
- chemistry/perfume/cosmetics through the renowned competitiveness cluster, “Cosmetic Valley”, and motor vehicle subcontracting (via electric and electronic equipment, metallurgy and metal works, rubber and capital goods).

With 800 ha of business parks, Chartres has a wide variety of sites across the 7 towns and villages of the urban area. Whether you are after a small-scale site, a tertiary sector or an estate lying alongside a motorway, more than 200 ha of fully serviced sites are available.

Some of the well-known companies already based here include: Philips/MMA/Novo Nordisk/Pacific Création/Hydro Aluminium Extrusion/Guerlain/ Reckitt Benckiser/Groupe Emerson/Lancaster/Paco Rabanne/Lorillard/Triefus …
